This test measures the resistance to plastic flow of cylindrical specimens of bituminous paving mixture loaded on the lateral surface. Equipment consists a bench top loading frame with a screw driven adjustable crosshead and are available in two models: a digital version, using loadcells and LVDTs, and a mechanical version that uses proving rings and micrometers.
